Window Tint Training in Houston: What You’ll Learn in a 3-Day Class

Want to learn how to tint windows, but not sure where to start? Or maybe you’ve already tried a few installs and keep running into the same problems. That’s what my 3-day window tint training in Houston is built for.

I’m Marco Cazorla, The Film Trainer. You’ll work directly with me on real vehicles, learning hand cutting, heat shrinking, glass prep, and installation. When something goes wrong, we’ll work through it together so you understand what happened and how to correct it.

Three days. Maximum five students. Hands-on practice with direct coaching.

Can you take the class with no experience?

Yes. This automotive window tint class is open to beginners and installers who want help improving their work. You don’t need to show up already knowing how to shrink a rear window or install a door.

If you have experience, tell me what you’re struggling with. Maybe your film keeps creasing, you’re getting contamination, or you’re having trouble getting the film below the seal. Knowing where you’re at helps me coach you through the steps that need attention.

What will you learn?

Glass prep and controlling contamination

A clean install starts before the film goes on the glass. We’ll work on cleaning the glass, preparing the seals, and handling the film during installation. How you clean your seals plays a big part in the dirt and contamination that can end up in your work.

I want you to understand where a problem starts. If you only focus on the final squeegee pass, you can miss something that happened much earlier in your prep.

Hand cutting and knife control

You’ll learn how to handle the film, position your pattern, and work on your cutting technique. We’ll cover tool setup and knife control as part of building a process you can repeat. Take your time here. Speed comes with practice and better control.

Heat shrinking on curved glass

Heat shrinking is one of the parts students often want help with. You’ll practice working with the film on curved automotive glass and learn to pay attention to how it responds as you work.

I’ll coach you through your technique and help you recognize when to adjust. The goal is to understand what you’re doing so you can keep practicing after class.

Door window installation: bottom loading and two-stage

We’ll cover both bottom loading and two-stage installation. You’ll work on positioning the film, handling it around the door, and your squeegee technique. Learning both methods gives you more than one way to approach an install.

What does training with me actually look like?

You’ll watch a demonstration, practice on a real vehicle, and get feedback as you work. If you’re stuck, we can slow down and break that part of the install into smaller steps.

Classes are limited to five students so I can work directly with you. You’re welcome to ask questions. Understanding why a step matters is part of learning the skill.

I bring more than 20 years of window tint experience to the class. My job during training is to make the process clear and help you build better habits.

Will you be a professional installer after three days?

Three days gives you focused instruction and hands-on practice. You’ll still need repetition after training to build consistency and speed. I’m not going to promise you’ll master every vehicle in one class. The goal is to give you a foundation you can keep building on.

• Location: Texas Tint Masters, 9001 Frey Road, Suite D, Houston, TX 77034.
• Length: Three full days, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
• Class size: Maximum five students.
• Tuition: $1,895 per student.
• Financing: Shop Pay payment plans are available, subject to eligibility. Check the booking page and checkout for current options.

Tools are available to use during class; a take-home tool kit is not included. If you’re traveling to Houston, plan separately for your airfare, hotel, and transportation.
