The Film Trainer Visits Matt Blackmer Of Detroit Tint Studio

Matt Blacker, Tint Trainer, Detroit Tint Studio

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Detroit Tint Studio and meeting the owner, Matt Blackmer. As the most watched window tinter on YouTube, I was excited to see his work and collaborate on some content about ClearPlex, an exterior windshield protection tint.

Matt Blackmer, is a highly respected and influential figure in the window tinting industry. I was thrilled to see his work and collaborate on some content about ClearPlex, an exterior windshield protection tint. In addition to his expertise in tinting, Matt also runs an online store where he sells a range of window tinting tools and supplies that he has personally used and tested. Matt has also created the largest window tinting Facebook group (Window Tint Stuff), which serves as a platform for installers from around the world to connect and share tips and tricks with one another. Matt's commitment to the industry is evident in every aspect of his work, and he is a true asset to the window tinting community.

Matt and I decided to put ClearPlex to the test by attempting to break it with a BB gun. To our amazement, the windshield protection tint did not break from the metal BB bullets. This was a testament to the film's strength and durability, and further solidified our belief in its effectiveness as a windshield protection solution.

Aside from the testing, it was a great few days spent at Detroit Tint Studio with the most influential tinter in our industry. Matt's knowledge and expertise in the field of window tinting was evident in every aspect of his work. He takes great pride in his craft and his attention to detail is unmatched.

My visit to Detroit Tint Studio was a great experience that not only allowed me to collaborate with Matt Blackmer on some content, but also gave me a firsthand look at his impressive work and dedication to the window tinting industry. ClearPlex proved to be a highly effective windshield protection solution, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to protect their windshield from damage while also blocking harmful UV rays and reducing heat inside their vehicle.
It's incredible to see the rapid success of the video we posted on TikTok, with over 1 Million views within the first 10 hours of being uploaded. This level of engagement is a testament to the power of social media and the way it can amplify content to a massive audience in a short amount of time. You can see the video below:

I’m so glad I was able to find the time to watch the two streams these legends did together! What an amazing show they put together, when I first started tinting it was Matt that I watched. Video after video just trying to figure out how to make it work, after a year I had the opportunity to train with Marco and as much as you can learn from YouTube videos, the knowledge that he passed on to me has absolutely changed the way I tint. Marco took what I had been able to learn by watching Matt and gave me the push to be so much better. Being able to have someone watch what I do and critique my movements and methods and being able to see what they do differently and ask questions in person was really eye opening. That’s also one of my favorite things about the way Matt runs things, with the livestreams the YouTube community gained the ability to ask those questions, with the Facebook group we have the opportunity to post a video and have our movements and work critiqued by others in the industry. The things these two have done not only for me but the industry can only be explained as legendary. Thank you so much for all you have done Marco and Matt!
